Overalls

Overalls were introduced as a fashion must-have just a few seasons ago, many in luxe materials like silk blends, but for this season it’s all about the denim. Try it in a dark wash stretch denim with a little flared leg for a more polished look, like Kate Bosworth. Or, go for a distressed faded denim with a skinny leg if you’re looking for something more relaxed.

Cape

Saint Laurent Fashion Show, Ready to Wear Collection Spring Summer 2016 in Paris

The cape is a must-have to the wardrobes of style mavens this season, and designers have been implementing the denim trend to this newly revived garment. Saint Laurent recently showed their spring/summer 2016 collection in Paris featuring a denim patchwork cape that has been making huge splash in the fashion world.

Shift Dress

A soft, lightweight denim takes the timeless shift dress to a more casual place, and the stiffer nature of the fabric (as compared to a crepe or jersey knit) allows it to keep its shape, hiding any lumps or bumps from view. For winter, try layering it over a striped jersey knit version, as seen here, for added warmth and extra dimension, and top it off with tights and a pair of tall boots.

Shirtdress

Shirtdresses are usually reserved for the warmer seasons, but in a thick, dark wash denim it gets transformed to winter-right and makes it incredibly versatile. The dark hue allows it to go to a more formal place when paired with the right pieces (pumps, statement jewelry, and textured tights), or casual with bare legs and a pair of flats.
