Winter Days in Denim
Denim is the perfect fabric for any season: causal, comfortable, and infinitely wearable. Here are some new and fun ways to wear denim this season courtesy of your friends at Fashion Fabrics Club.
Overalls
Denim overalls aren’t just for summer, and despite their heritage in workwear, they’ve become a staple among the fashion set. Take a lesson from this high-low outfit and try pairing them with dressy pieces to give them a whole new edgy look.
Skirt
A denim skirt can easily become winter-ready with the right pairing. Try a simple sweater, tights, and top everything off with a sleek pair of boots. Suddenly the summer must-have looks just right for right now.
Button Up
In causal denim, the button up gets transformed into an everyday go-to. Try it in an oversized boyfriend-cut tucked it with a pair of skinny jeans for an easy look for all your weekend adventures.
Shorts
When you think about winter dressing, denim shorts don’t immediately come to mind, but worn right they can be an incredibly chic focal point in an unexpected cold-weather look. Take your favorite pair of summer cutoffs out of storage, pair with a simple T, sweater, chunky scarf, thick tights (try a pair with a pattern or texture or extra appeal), and finish off the look with a pair of heeled boots.
Jacket
For most geographies, the classic denim jacket is too lightweight to be considered a winter-friendly piece, but here is a trick to transform it into the perfect cold-weather jacket: simply line the inside with a furry Sherpa fabric. Done and done.
